300 Blankets is excited to begin a journey with One Road Home. Starting in April 2015, we will be sourcing and distributing personal hygiene products through the proceeds from sales of beautiful hand made jewellery. Personal hygiene products such as soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, tissues and other items are always required. This program will enable us to hand out hygiene products when we are on the streets with our blankets.

One Road Home is a social enterprise that was borne out of a young girl’s love of creativity and her dream to eradicate homelessness in Melbourne. Through Instagram (@oneroadhome) and local markets, One Road Home sells a line of handmade crystal jewellery, dream catchers and candles. The profits of these treasures go towards hygiene packages hand packed and personally given to people experiencing homelessness in Melbourne. For the creator of One Road Home, Alex Rushan, “It has been an incredible, life-changing experience getting to know our friends doing it tough on the streets, and it has only made us more determined to extend our reach and create change in our community”.
