Wonderland

Australia is in the grip of a homelessness crisis, with more than 200 people turned away from agencies across the country each day. On average, about 90 are from Victoria. In inner Melbourne alone, there are about 300 people sleeping on the streets each night.
Our community is struggling under the weight of issues associated with domestic violence, financial distress and fractured relationships, so we ask you to help us lighten the burden.  
On Thursday 25 July 2019, 300 Blankets presents its Winter Wonderland fundraiser evening – a night filled with people who care about the people in our community, coming together to raise funds to help 300 Blankets continue its essential work in our community.
We need your financial support to continue operating our current programs as well as expand and replicate existing programs to reach those in suburban Melbourne.
We hope that you can join us to make a difference.
Entertainment, food and beverages are all included in your ticket.  It’s a small price to pay to make a lasting and positive contribution to people at risk of, or who are experiencing homelessness.

Where does my donation go?

300 Blankets is a 100% volunteer charity. Your donations will go towards:

  • $20 will buy a blanket to keep someone warm;
  • $50 will buy 1 night of fresh fruit, basic food and beverages for people sleeping rough;
  • $75 will cover the costs of material aid for one family at Soul Kitchen;
  • $150 is equivalent to the costs of operating 1 night of our Outreach Program;
  • $250 is enough to purchase the fresh produce used for one night at Soul Kitchen;
  • $1,500 would cover 1 month of expenses for the Outreach Program
  • $2,000 would cover 1 month of expenses for Soul Kitchen – Braybrook
  • $9,000 would cover 6 months of expenses for the Outreach Program
  • $12,000 would cover 6 months of expenses for Soul Kitchen – Braybrook
  • $17,000 will cover the cost of our annual blanket purchase
  • $18,000 would cover 1 year of expenses for the Outreach Program
  • $24,000 would cover 1 year of expenses for Soul Kitchen
