We have been selected to feature as one of three charities at the 10×10 Melbourne event held by 10×10 Philanthropy.
10 volunteer committee members organise a charity event with venue hire, canapés and drinks all sourced through generous donations. Three charities are selected by the committee to come and pitch their latest projects to the audience on the night. We strive to run the event on a $0 budget, such that all of the donations can go directly to the charities.
Each committee member invites at least 10 of their friends to make a $100 donation (or more) to attend the event, creating a pool of at least $10K. Upon arrival, each attendee is given ‘Charity Dollars’ equal to the value of their ‘Donation’ in the form of $50 charity vouchers.
After drinks and canapés, attendees are seated to watch the charities pitch their cause, model and impact to you, the audience. This is followed by a question and answer session facilitated by our experienced 10×10 Dragon.
Each attendee then decides directly who they want to give their ‘Charity Dollars’ to. Charities receive 100% of the funds, minus a 10% project fee to 10×10 to cover admin and overhead costs. We ticket our events and administer/receipt funds via the Good Thnx platform. Once you make a donation you will receive a tax deductible receipt immediately from the Good Thnx Foundation. Funds will then be paid to respective charities by the Good Thnx Foundation.
